How do I choose the right size for my Dachshund?
The size of a Dachshund coat is mainly based on the back length, measured from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, and on the chest circumference. We recommend measuring your dog standing in a natural position. If you are between two sizes, always choose the larger one to avoid restricting movement. Is the coat waterproof?
Yes, our Fashion Dog Dachshund coats are designed to protect your dog from rain and moisture. We still recommend checking each product page for exact technical specifications.
My Dachshund wears a harness: can I put it under the coat?
Absolutely. Some of our models, such as Art. 147 and Art. 148, feature a practical opening on the back (slot) that allows the harness ring to pass through and the leash to be attached without removing the coat. It is a convenient and safe solution.
What is the difference between a coat with removable padding and a quilted one?
The main difference is versatility. A coat with removable padding (such as Art. 139) is perfect for mid-seasons: you can remove the padding on milder days and use it complete when it gets colder. A quilted model (such as Art. 148) offers more compact and warmer protection, ideal for winter.
How do I wash my Dachshund's coat?
We recommend following the specific instructions on each product's label. In general, most of our coats can be machine washed at low temperatures (30°C), without bleach, and air dried. For exact details, always check the product page or contact us.
