Warm Dog Coats and Sweatshirts

How to choose a warm coat or sweatshirt for your dog

Your choice depends on your dog’s routine and how easy the garment is to put on. Compare the fastenings and dressing style: a pull-on garment requires attention to the neck and leg openings, while a garment with closures offers a different way of dressing your dog.

Check that the fabric does not pull around the chest and shoulders when your dog walks, sits or lies down. Also check the product description for harness compatibility and access to the lead attachment.

Anti-pilling treatment and fabric care

The anti-pilling treatment helps reduce the formation of small bobbles that can appear on the fabric’s surface through wear and friction. To care for the garment, follow the washing instructions for the specific model and allow it to dry completely before storing it.

These coats and sweatshirts are intended to provide warmth on dry days: the anti-pilling treatment does not make the fabric waterproof.
